eTerm300 thin clients are a simpler and easier way to deliver the
productivity and application flexibility of a PC without the PC

life. The eTerm product series incorporates state of the art processor
technology with a powerful resident application package, which includes
a Windows CE operating system, a resident Microsoft Internet Explorer
web browser, RDP and ICA clients, resident host emulations, and
application viewers. This powerful package provides seamless support of
Windows-based applications and connections to the Internet and

eTerm300 is a simple terminal for those who need a completely
centralized desktop management option that is simple to install,

peripherals. The eTerm300 has a desk friendly small footprint that

User Environment
The
eTerm300 sets a new standard for end user look and feel on thin client
displays. Users interact with the eTerm300 using a PC style windows
desktop interface. The interface is designed to reduce the confusion
and training effort associated with migrating users from Fixed Function
Displays or PCs to thin client displays. Local configuration and
application use is simplified by the windows standard icons and mouse
activation.
Product Scalability
The
eTerm300 offers both onboard flash memory for resident application
storage and RAM system memory for applicationexecution and temporary
cache. System memory can be expanded to 256MB, allowing it to handle
the most rigorous user environments. The Integrated Legacy parallel
port permits connections to other supported peripheral devices. The
eTerm300s maximum configurable video resolution of 1280 x 1024
provides a comfortable Ergonomic display environment.

Network Flexibility and Management Support
The
eTerm provides tremendous network flexibility. Offering 10/100BaseT
Ethernet support, the eTerm generates high speed desktop connections
and is ideal for loading and executing many applications, such as web
browsers and terminal emulators, via its WindowsCE operating system.
The enhanced Dial-Up Client provides a one-step operation when using a
modem to login to remote hosts via RAS or ISP. The eTerm supports

Thin-client technology is suited for remote network management using the eManager platform and not only increases network control, but enables the centralization of code and application upgrades. Desktop
space is at a premium these days and Visaras eTerm760 offers a
functional design in a small footprint, which minimizes the impact on
your desktop and office space. Weve incorporated our Windows-based
Terminal into a sleek LCD flat panel and created a visually appealing
product without sacrificing functionality.
The eTerm760 products boast fast performance with a MediaGX processor, embedded flash technology, and 64MB standard SDRAM. Multi-application access is supported through a resident Microsoft CE operating system and its support for Citrix ICA and Microsoft DP protocol. ICA and RDP enable access to NT servers and Windows-based applications, along with easy access to the Internet and corporate intranets. Resident host emulations, including TN3270E and TN5250E, offer reliable access to mainframe and midrange hosts. Emulations will also support Visaras 122-key keyboard as well as our standard 104-key. The eTerm760 is an outstanding product, offering a complete desktop solution in a compact integrated design.

design and flicker-free operation. Flicker-free operation reduces the
eye strain associated with long term use of video displays. The crisp
1280x1024 resolution display produces vibrant colors and a high level
of screen brightness. For specialty applications, an optional touch
screen is available to enable application access at the touch of a
finger or through the use of a pointer. The eTerm760 offers integrated

eTerm760 provides the features, functions, and design required to

these desktops via the Visara eManager platform, a software package
that enables centralized control of networked thin -clients. eManager
performs code upgrades, monitors status of desktop operations, and
remotely configures updates as required. The remotely manageable and

1783 NCT
The Visara 1783 Network Computing Terminal (NCT) is a powerful, cost-effective solution, which provides access to legacy mainframe and midrange hosts, as well as the Internet, intranet, and windows-based applications. The 1783 NCT boasts superior connectivity and a broad feature set, including a resident web browser, resident QNX operating system, and resident Citrix ICA support. Uniquely capable of connecting to existing coax, twinax, Token Ring or Ethernet cabling, the 1783 is designed to maximize investments in cabling and hardware by providing a robust platform for migrating enterprises from fixed function displays to intelligent desktops. It not only increases operator efficiency, but also provides for new applications and offers a low total cost of ownership.
The resident clients on the 1783, including TN3270E and TN5250E client support, enable seamless migration to a 1783 without disruption to host environments. Visara realizes that tremendous investments have been made in mainframe and midrange host applications and that their continued use is essential. The 1783 NCT protects these investments and provides direct access to these host applications through a LAN environment. Using the optional coax or twinax adapters, the 1783 operates as a CUT mode device, providing a plug and play replacement for older terminals.
The NCT offers an exclusive feature, the Coax-to-Ethernet Bridge. The Coax-to-Ethernet Bridge has been designed specifically for the Visara Communication Server platforms, the 1174-S Series. This innovative advantage gives IT managers the ability to directly connect into existing coax cabling through a simple plug and play connection via an RG62AU (BNC) connector. This feature has many benefits, including no rewiring, no host changes, and no change in user operation. This coax connection, coupled with more resident functionality than any other network computing device, positions the 1783 NCT as the most cost-effective, highest value upgrade path for mainframe and LAN/WAN based organizations.
500LX (1883 NCT)The Visara 1883 Network Computing Terminal (NCT) offers power, performance, and native connectivity. It provides access to legacy mainframe and midrange hosts as well as the Internet, intranets, and Windows-based applications.
The 1883 NCT is built upon the strength of Visaras Network Computing Terminal family, including resident emulation clients and native coax connectivity. It is defined by key feature differences, including a resident Linux operating system and Netscape web browser, enabled for Java Virtual Machine. Its Linux operating system supports X-terminal, Citrix ICA, and RDP protocols, therefore allowing for remote display and input capabilities over network connections for Windows-based applications running on a server.

networks provide an ideal environment for server-based computing, and
thin client technology is a viable and performance-driven desktop
solution. Through the introduction of these desktops, Visara combines
the power of open-source computing and thin client technology to
provide a robust, powerful Linux environment for thin-client desktop
applications.
eManager Management Software
eManager is the network management program designed for Visara thin-client desktop devices and the 1174 and SCON-22L Communication Servers. Visara thin client products supported by eManager include the 1683, 1783, and 1883 Network Computing Terminals, the eTerm350, eTerm300, eTerm360 and the eTerm760 Windows-based Terminal. Communication Server products manageable by eManager includes the 1174-25S and 1174-65S, as well as all older model 1174's running LINCS 4.0 or higher microcode and the SCON-22L Console Concentrator. eManager provides the means to administer a complete network of Visara desktops and Communication Servers, with a versatile set of management tools, designed to work in most environments.
eManager has been developed to support network administrators and help desk operators. It is designed to push new applications, updates and configuration changes to a variety of desktop implementations, and put changes into immediate or delayed effect. eManager is designed to run on a Windows 95/98/2000/NT/XP platform, and provides administrators with the ability to review and update applications and configuration parameters for individuals or groups of individuals from a central location. Help desk operators can use eManager to diagnose and solve user problems, eliminating the need to visit each desktop or remote location when needing to change or investigate operating parameters.
