Marknet S Internal MarkNet S Print Servers are optional cards that fit inside Lexmark Optra S or Optra SC 1275 printers. You plug a cable between the card and the network to attach the printer directly to the network. High-speed 32-bit PCI interfaces and 27 MHz RISC processors speed print jobs to printers in seconds. In testing performed by NSTL, the MarkNet S internal print servers for Optra S and Optra SC printers delivered three times greater throughput for TCP/IP and Novell NetWare environments compared to two leading competitors. Equally remarkable throughput performance is observed when coupling MarkNet Pro print servers with printers equipped with high-speed bidirectional ECP IEEE 1284-compliant parallel ports and cables.
