The Winterm 5315 comes standard
in network boot configuration that utilizes BOOTP or DHCP to allow the
firmware of the device to be stored on a server. If preferred, the Winterm
5315 can be configured for standalone operation using the Local Boot Option,
a PCMCIA FLASH RAM card available at an additional cost that contains the
same firmware that would be stored on the server in a network boot configuration.
