Extended Systems ExtendNet 100s (ESI-2941) is a multi-protocol network print server which simultaneously supports Novell NetWare and NDS, TCP/IP, Windows NT, and EtherTalk.
Available for Ethernets, ExtendNet 100s connects up to 2 printers (1 high-speed, bi-directional, IEEE-1284 parallel port and 1 serial port) for both 10BASE-T and 100BASE-T network connections. ExtendNet 100s also supports packet signatures, checksums, aliasing, load balanced printing, dedicated print servers and remote printer modes, encrypted passwords, automatic file server reattachment, forms printing and automatic font downloading.
ExtendNet 100s delivers built-in compatibility with your choice of enterprise, LAN or user management tools. Our Open Management Architecture provides the ability to manage printers from any PC-based SNMP management application (like Novell ManageWise and HP OpenView) with unprecedented ease and vision. We provide a complete set of utilities designed to simplify the management of printing resources. ExtendView utilities allow you to easily install, configure and control your ExtendNet 100s print servers. ExtendView also provides system, network and printer status information. By using the NWAdmin snap-in DLL, ExtendView for NDS, ExtendNet 100s print servers can be installed, configured and managed - all from within NWAdmin. No need to use separate proprietary solutions to set up and maintain your printing network. As your network changes and grows, the ExtendNet 100s is upgradable.
