Bar code label printing is now easier for Microsoft Windows users with Tharo Systems innovative GEMINI printer. The GEMINI is the first of its kind - a printer actually designed and built to work only with Windows, while setting new standards in seamless integration. The GEMINI is so completely integrated with the Windows environment that most printer control, beyond power on/off, is done through the on-screen GEMINI Control Panel application. And, our unique driver, with built-in bar codes, makes printing to the GEMINI possible from almost any Windows application, such as MS Word, Write, Wordpad, Access and Visual Basic, as well as Lotus Approach, Paradox, and dBASE. Now you can create bar code labels from the applications you already have, without special programming or purchasing additional software.
Quality Printing with Windows Fonts and Graphics
Most label printers provide a limited selection of built-in, standard fonts. With the GEMINI, your choices include all of the True Type fonts available with your Windows applications. The fonts you select, as well as your Windows graphics, are downloaded to the printer as needed . . . all at a download speed that is unequaled by other printers or drivers! GEMINI accomplishes this with our superior driver design and the high-speed bi-directional communications of the Centronics parallel interface. The result is extensive flexibility in graphic choices with an exceptionally quick time to first label printing.
Only the Features You Need
The GEMINI provides excellent print quality for an economical price by including only the features you really need. With a resolution of 203 dpi, a print speed up to 2" per second, and a print width up to 4.09" on media up to 4.5" wide, the GEMINI can fulfill many of your labeling requirements. Types of media include most direct thermal and thermal transfer label, tag and ticket materials on rolls up to 6" in diameter. The GEMINI supports all popular bar codes including UPC/EAN, Code 39, Code 128, and Interleaved 2 of 5 among others. The unique design of the GEMINI demonstrates the concept of doing more with less. It includes a modest 256KB memory, which provides more than enough processing capability. And, the GEMINI will not encounter a ROM shortage as other printers might due to space used by bar codes; with its unique design, the bar codes are stored in the driver program rather than in the printer. If your requirements include batch or demand operation, thermal transfer or direct thermal printing, or external rewind capability, the GEMINI will suit your needs.
Windows Control Panel
What could be more convenient than to control the printer from your PC, instead of pressing buttons on the printer and trying to interpret brief status codes? Just click on the GEMINI icon in Windows to bring up the GEMINI Control Panel window. There is no need to reach over to the printer to find a pause or form feed button, because it is on your screen. When you need to check the printer's status, or find the number of labels waiting to be printed, or see a message explaining why the printer has stopped, all the information is conveniently available on your screen.

SERVICE CONTRACT
Tharo Service Contracts are available for 12 month periods. They can be purchased when printers are originally purchased or at anytime during the standard factory warranty. The extended warranty period will begin when the factory warranty expires. Service contracts may also be purchased for units no longer under factory warranty; however, inspection of the unit at Tharo Systems, Inc. may be required. The original warranty period is for 1 year (365 days) from date of shipment by Tharo Systems. The Hot Spare contract includes the replacement of one (1) printhead per contract year. All prices are subject to change and are reflective of the cost of replacement parts. Inspection is required prior to the issue of a Service Contract if the warranty has expired.
Service Contracts cover all labor, material and surface transportation charges to return the product to customers within the 48 contiguous United States and District of Columbia. (Printhead warranty of 1 year (365 days) on original printhead applies to printers shipped after February 1, 1998. Otherwise, regular warranty of 6 months or 1,000,000 linear inches of use applies.) All shipping costs, custom clearances and other related charges outside this area are not covered by the Service Contract. Hot Spare Contract covers same day, overnight shipment of a replacement printer. (If notified no later than 11:30 AM EST.)
